NE Centre of Community Society is a non-profit organization building a multipurpose sports, recreation and cultural centre in Northeast Calgary.  This $120 million complex will begin construction later this year (2009).  The facility will reflect the needs of an ethnically diverse and rapidly growing community.

In partnership with the City of Calgary, Calgary Public Library, and Calgary YMCA, the centre will be the home for a YMCA, indoor and outdoor soccer fields, community arts organizations, cultural groups, and human services. 

A key funding partner is Genesis Land Development Corporation, who as the naming sponsor, provided $5M toward the capital campaign for the centre. As a result, the centre will be known as the Genesis Centre of Community Wellness.

Other funding has come from the City of Calgary, the Province of Alberta, the Government of Canada, the YMCA, the Kahanoff Foundation, Calgary Soccer, and generous donations and sponsorships from numerous corporations, non-profit groups, and individuals.
